You carefully edged down the staircase, slowly but silently, with the miniature baseball bat firmly gripped in your hands, ready to strike.

As you walked down the staircase, you noticed that amidst of the raging snow storm outside, moonlight still managed to escape through the living room's windows, casting humongous shadow of you.

Your attention was abruptly snapped back by the loud bangs of metal emanated from within the fireplace.

After you flinched a little, carefully you continued your way down the staircase. You flipped the switch on the wall near the first storey staircase. The light tube on the ceiling illuminated the living room with a faint orange light.

You went to the closed window facing the front of the house. After observing the surroundings outside amidst the raging snow storm for five minutes, you concluded that there was no suspicious car or people around the house.

Archer checked if anything had changed in the living room,  especially the present under the christmas trees.His detective instincts told him it was not a normal thief and conjectured that the thief must have had the relationship with the stronge artifact  .Also Archer would listen carefully the sound from second floor and the fireplace to see if anyone was coming when he was checking

Archerchecked footprints and used his detective skill to conjecture how tall and  heavy of the owners .Then he checked the shoebox,which came from James, to see if artifact still inside of the box  .

You examined the soot footprints in detail.

You estimated the size of each foot to be 10 x 5 cm. Based on your experience, you would only expect them to be a child's footprints, therefore perhaps 30 - 40 kg in weight and 130 - 150 cm in height. The soot was fresh, you assumed the footprints had been there for no more than 15 minutes.

You spotted the Nike shoebox easily since it was the only present that was not wrapped underneath the Christmas tree, a few steps away from the fireplace. You quickly opened the box and found the artifact still safely residing in the box.
