而对于后者,这可能跟性别有一些关系——一部分与激素的分泌有关,比如男性更容易倾向搞暴力或色情内容(当然,考虑到跑团是个社交行为,大部分人还是会比较收敛),而女性更容易倾向通过情感互动来取悦双方;而另一方面跟传统社会对性别的刻板塑造有关——比如上面所言的男性会被鼓励去玩车,而女性会被鼓励玩娃娃。在这种情况下,男女玩家都会可能因为自己的独特遭遇而喜欢,排斥或渴望某种特定的元素,而性别的相似社会遭遇(比如都被鼓励做某些顺性别的事)更容易让男性或女性个体在某些特定元素上产生喜好或排斥。所以总结一下的话,跑团玩家其实是已经被小众文化严重筛选过的群体,他们之间的差异更重要的是风格(比如是扮演还是挑战)和程度(比如只是单纯的喜欢参与社交行为,还是喜欢甚至热爱跑团这个行为本身),性别是一个有点影响但不是很大的因素(比如说,假设女性有80%不喜欢或者无所谓跑团,而另外的20%对跑团有各种各样的在意点,那么在这个调查里,那八成的不在意者其实没有被参考的必要,因为她们根本就不会作为玩家参与到这个集体里;而仅占女性群体20%的女性,显然无法用来被证明性别在这里起了多大的作用。),”因为性别而遭遇了什么“可能才是很大的因素。
我当过DM也当过PL也做过调查员等等;我的带团风格在果园少数几次回文中提到时被其他人明确指出『找玩家麻烦』,而我自己自认是重扮演且会考虑到很多层面;而我做玩家时的乐趣除了扮演,在某种程度上则是在规则内制造笑点并拆台主持人,好险我都只跟朋友跑团。
我设计的剧情多半牵涉层面很广,很可能一开始跑的内容就埋好了十几次跑团后会用上的伏笔;我喜欢奇幻偏高魔、科幻、日欧美都吃,CoC、DnD、天启、永远的后日谈、钢之守护神、圣杯战争等等都跑过。
内容上我喜欢有谜题、有大场面战斗的剧情;我也喜欢用战斗以外的方式解决战斗,不论是把旁边楼弄塌了压死敌人还是嘴遁来解决战斗;扮演风格上我根据角色会做切换所以没有特定倾向。
那就我的经验来说
一、通常男性玩家在研究数据机制上会比女性玩家更卖力
二、女性玩家的毅力通常比玩家男性高,尤其是遇到感兴趣的部分,哪怕是原文书的阅读+翻译会比同游戏龄的男性玩家强一大截(不是说男性玩家无法读原文,但往往只读加强Build的资源)。
三、这一团只要有一个女性玩家在场,男性玩家通常都会比较收敛自己,例如黄色笑话这块(哪怕该女性玩家自己就说得很凶也一样)。
四、男性玩家通常乐于尝试新规则(他们没有玩过的规则),而女性玩家偏向继续玩已经带给他们乐趣的规则。
根据经验上,男玩家喜欢研究build繁复或创新特色的强力战斗机制,别人拿他的卡就一整个打不起来。
女玩家倾向抄一套战力靠谱好操作的,再依据跑团经验修改,觉得好用的build就一直用,喜欢蛮子、射手、或者主要研究法表的法师牧师。
当然坚持酱油盗贼酱油诗人的男玩家也是见过
从大数据上看,男女玩家对游戏类型的偏好的确会有所不同——男性会更偏向于强对抗、强规则的游戏,而女性会倾向于选择侧重养成要素、容易上手、玩法相对休闲的游戏。放进跑团里面,比如男pc会喜欢冲突和战斗、喜欢研究非常复杂的规则和build,而女pc会更喜欢探索和推进剧情、不会过分堆叠数值追求强度(但肯定也有例外,比如名震果园的某花)。

One of the guys playing a girl in the campaign I'm in is a turbo hyper-lesbian tiefling.
But I'm the other guy playing a girl and she's a scorned LE paladin with a kid she had to leave with her parents who is also a tiefling

我没有跑过面团,语音团也很少参加,就文字网团而言,我见到的且自我表述为男性的跑团玩家(毕竟我没法也没打算顺着网线去看真人),有相当数量倾向于捏女角(当然很多也只捏男角,但问到时也会表示‘演不来妹子所以只捏男角’),而且大多数也是会想要照顾其他PC和GM的感受的老好人(也不排除有刚见面就猥琐至极的SB,但属于极少数);而我见到的且自我表述为女性的跑团玩家,她们一部分比起跑团本身,更热衷于制作和表现某种与团有关的艺术品,比如说给角色画立绘,把战报画成小故事或者做成跑团视频;而另一部分对扮演一个角色去社交互动挺感兴趣,但对于做卡和研究bd,战斗等内容非常苦手,也不在乎在这方面训练和强化自己。
So I'm gonna complain about something, and I want to know how some of you ladies (or gentleman, if you like) deal with voices. I enjoy voicing all the characters in my story. This includes male voices. As a woman, I only have so many male voices I can do, and as a result, most of them either sound exactly like another character that's been encountered, or sound just silly when I'm trying to be serious. I feel like I'm taking my players out of the experience and I hate it. Anyone else feel this way?
I'll just say its a lot easier to take a woman's "man voice" seriously than it is to take most men's "woman voice" even remotely seriously.
Females tend to be better at deep immersion roleplaying and males better at tactically challenging the group. Not true for every single person, of course.That's just natural
I've had a few female GMs. Honestly? They were awful, mostly because they'd been playing a while and not particularly been paying attention to the rules or because ANYONE has a hard time picking up the curious juggles it takes to run a large group - and they were too nice to put caps on the players like I recommend for the guys that want to try it out with our circle of gamers. The best one was using the Storyteller system, good grasp of mechanics and absolutely encyclopedic knowlegde of where to find anything in any of the books. The only problem was that 'deep immersion' worked against her when everyone's roleplaying murderous psychopaths in a VtM game. I kept having to edit myself, I was "giving her nightmares". It happens I guess.
For the record though, those several bad female GMS don't hold a candle to the legions of bad male GMs. I've never just walked out after 5 minutes, for instance, with a female GM. They're at least polite. ;-)
Of all the many DMs I've ever had, by far the best of all has been the one female DM, Stalkingblue.
"Wow! A girl!" is just not the first and continuous thought in the guys' heads, and "Great gender ratio in my favor!" is similarly not foremost in the minds of the gals. It's a much mellower atmosphere for female gamers.
Which is to say it seems to be like advice given about getting dates or making friends--when you try too hard it has the opposite effect.
So, for folks wondering where all the female gamers are, take a good, open-eyed look at your gaming group. If you were a female player, would you find the group welcoming? (And by welcoming I mean a good bunch of people to game with, not welcoming in the sense of "Baby, you're welcome to sit on my lap anytime!") Would you feel like the players spent less time interacting with your character than they did figuring out ways to ask you out? Are there elements of your games that might be less than attractive to a female player (like your buddy Bob, who has a thing about always making PCs who are huge-breasted nymphomaniac assassins)?
I've been table-top RPing for close to 15 years now. In about 90% of the games I've played I've been the DM myself. The few female gamers I've played with were of two types: A) The intense, well-prepared actress...who made everyone else (i.e. the guys) step up to the plate and be their characters rather than just rolling dice; and B) The girlfriends of other gamers who played simply because they were there and generally seemed fairly miserable and uninterested. I've known one of Type A and several (some I dated myself) Type B. That being said I'm sure there's a great variety of others out there, but I just haven't had much experience playing with them. To date, I've never known a female DM in person.
However, I've known quite a few in Neverwinter Nights, though I rarely play that game anymore for a variety of reasons. In the respect of online playing I have to say that female gamers/DMs are far more common, or at least more noticeable to me considering the hole in the ground I live in. They're every bit as good, and often better at this sort of RPing/DMing than males from my observations.
I really think that the world of gaming would be much better (for players, DMs, etc.) if there were more female DMs and gamers in general. The problem is that many people do look to RPing, at least at an early age, for social interaction that they're not receiving from the rest of the world. If there were females in more of those RPing circles it might make the divisions between genders seem smaller instead of greater (as playing in an all-male/all-female RPG circle can often do).
