It is believed that kids with such vulgar name can be raised up easily.

Also, low lives may not even possess a name, people may call them using nickname.
Such as 张麻子, meaning "Zhang, (badly) pock-marked face".
Or even without a family name, 肥佬, "The fat guy".

And one more thing, if you like the shape of 麹 rather than 曲, try this out 鞠.

 I get very great knowledge about Chinese names.

 Yes, I think 王, 李, 孙, 刘, 张 are so common as runner's name.  I think 浮华的 names are better. So I used those family names.

 I named my Chinese character from "孔门十哲","封神演义","三国志","凌烟阁二十四功臣","云台二十八将" and "水浒百八星".

 But, I understand some of their family name is old fashion.

 I made one more male character.
